Chandramitra is considered a newly discovered ruler in the Panchala series. While the "Mitra" dynasty of Panchala is well-known for kings like Agnimitra and Indramitra, the discovery of Chandramitra’s coinage provides critical new evidence regarding the succession and extent of the Panchala kingdom during the late 2nd or 1st century BC.
